Travelling? Pack your health along!

Summer time calls for a vacation. Vacations are a great escapade from the monotonous routine, they revitalize you and brings a fresh energy in you. It’s a time to see and try new things. But while at a vacation, we tend to ignore our health, because of which most of us fall sick when we are back.

So this summer, let’s promise ourselves not to compromise on our health while we are having a joyful time. Let’s pack our backpacks with following essential nutrients and health related tips to make sure we have a great post vacation time too:

  1.      Keep yourself hydrated:

Water is your best friend at vacation or otherwise. Make sure you have more water than you do on normal days because you tend to have more physical activity when at a vacation. Always carry your water bottle along!

  1.      Avoid eating roadside food:

Well! I understand- the aroma of spices would attract you, but you will have to control the urge to have roadside food at vacation. Since you are at a new place and environment, you never know what works in a negative way for your health.

  1.      Eat healthy

No! We don’t mean eating salads all the day, but at least don’t start binge eating because you are at a vacation. You can have a little cheat here and there but make sure it’s just a little one and not a large sized pizza. Also, don’t forget to keep probiotics added to your meals in adequate amounts.

  1.      Walk and talk

You are on vacation, so it’s the best time to spend with your loved ones. Take time to have a walk and night and talk. It caters to both your mental and physical health.

  1.      Pack healthy

Don’t forget to pack some healthy snacks for the mid-night hunger pangs or late evening cravings. Carry fruits like apple and orange, roasted black chanas, granola bars etc to feed your hunger.

  1.      Don’t be extra sweet!

You know we are talking about sugar here. It’s fine to eat dessert once in a while because you are holidaying, but don’t make a blunder by eating a whole cake.

  1.      Carry your medicines

Don’t forget to pack your medicine box and carry some general medicines like painkillers, isabgol and balms to relieve you from pain.
