Twisted coconut tale
Ingredients
Rose syrup-6 teaspoons
Tender coconut water (chilled)-1 cup
Fresh mint leaves - 12-15
Lemons cut into small cubes-2
Salt -to taste
Tender coconut flesh (malai) for garnish
Drinking soda as required
Method
1. Combine mint leaves, lemon cubes and a little coconut water in a shaker.
2. Muddle all the ingredients with a muddler. Add rose syrup and remaining coconut water, cover and shake well.
3. Rim individual glasses with salt and pour the prepared drink into them. Cut coconut flesh into triangles, make a little slit on one side and fix one triangle on the rim of each glass.
4. Top the drink with soda and serve chilled.
Holiday Pomegranate Mojito
Ingredients
10 mint leaves (fresh, torn)
2 lime wedges
1/2 ounce simple syrup
60 ml pomegranate juice
60 ml lemonade (fresh-squeezed)
60 ml club soda (or light citrus soda)
Garnish: pomegranate seeds
Garnish: sprig of mint
Method
1.Muddle the syrup, lime, and mint leaves in a highball glass.
2.Fill the glass with ice.
3.Add the juice and lemonade.
4.Stir well.
5.Top with club soda.
6.Garnish with pomegranate seeds and fresh mint.
Cinderella mocktail
Ingredients
60 ml lemon juice
60 ml orange juice
60 ml pineapple juice
Dash grenadine
69 ml ginger ale (or club soda)
Garnish: pineapple and orange slices
Method
1.Gather the ingredients.
2.Pour the juices, grenadine into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
3.Shake well.
4.Strain into a chilled collins glass filled with fresh ice.
5.Top with ginger ale.
6.Garnish with the slices of pineapple and/or orange.
Virgin Pina Colada
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups frozen unsweetened pineapple chunks
1 cup ice
1 cup unsweetened pineapple juice
1 cup unsweetened coconut milk
Optional: 1 to 3 tbsp. brown sugar
Garnish: Fresh pineapple wedges
Garnish: cherry
Method
1.Gather the ingredients.
2.Place the frozen pineapple chunks and ice in the bottom of blender.
3.Pour the pineapple juice and coconut milk over top. Add the brown sugar if using. Puree until smooth. Taste to test desired sweetness.
4.Pour into glasses, and garnish with fresh pineapple wedges or a cherry. For an extra special touch, chill the glasses by filling classes with crushed ice or ice water before pouring Pina Coladas in.
5.Serve immediately and enjoy!
Mint kiwi margarita
Ingredients
1 slice kiwi fruit about ¼ of a kiwi fruit
2 mint leaves
30 ml lime juice
60 ml kiwi fruit juice
Method
1.Rub a lime wedge around the edge of your serving glass. Dip the edge of the glass in the lime salt. Set aside.
2.Muddle the kiwi fruit slice, and the mint leaves in a mixer or a glass. Add simple syrup, lime juice, kiwi fruit juice. Add 1 ice cube and str for a few seconds.
3.Pour into the lime salt rimmed glass with 1 or 2 ice cubes.
4.Serve with an additional lime wedge or lime slice.
