MONSOON CALLS: HEALTH ALERT!
The long unbearable scorching summer heat makes us worship the God to pour some rain. Though it’s a pleasure moment when the first rain falls,but it’s also an invitation for gastrointestinal problems, furthermore decreasing the body’s immune defenses and leading us to allergies and infections. So here are a few do’s and dont’s that should be taken care of this monsoon.
1.BOILED WATER
Boiled water should be a must this monsoon! Carry the bottle along wherever you go,Because this infectious season can load water with bacteria and viruses that causes various diseases in the gut.
2. HYDRATION IS THE KEY
This humid weather causes the body to perspire more causing dehydration so drinking lots of water may help! At Least 6-8 glasses is a must and this can be infused water too,adding some health benefits.
3. LEAVE THE RAW !
Salads and raw fruits & veggies should be stayed away from as they may be contaminated with pathogens! Instead prefer cooked food to enjoy the mild weather and the drizzles.
